Epsilon Lesson 02 - Making DIR and Files in Epsilon

Hello friends good morning, have a good day ahead with this lesson 02.

Today we will cover ;-
 In earlier lesson 01, we learned how to open epsilon and go to an a particular DIR or File. Today will cover below point.

1. How to make Directory or Folder
2. How to make file like 1.txt, 2.xml and 3.doc and all type of files.

To create a DIR or Folder :- To create a DIR or Folder just give a command +

Make Dir = +

See Below



After press + you will have to type a name of your DIR whatever you want to type like Lesson_02 and press Enter after typing, see below.



Well-done you have made your first DIR in Epsilon Congrats, Now we have to go inside the Dir to make a file, We can go inside this DIR with the help of moving our Up or Down arrow present in keyboard or we can search using search command that is CTR-S see both method below.




Now with the help of search command CTR-S, when you will press CTR-S after that you will have to type the name of DIR, whatever DIR you want to search.


Now what you have to do, You have to type DIR name, whatever you want to search, then you have to press S with CTR button, when DIR will highlight press Enter or Esc button, your cursor will be there see below.

 

Now here you have to press Enter or Esc.



Then you have to press Space-bar or Enter to go inside of it.

Make File :- For making any file here you have to give a command here CTR-XF



Now you have to type name of a file like Lesson_02.txt, Lesson_02.xml or Lesson_02.html see below.



Now type anything here and save file with the help of CTR-X S.



Note:- To save a file you must have to type somthing inside your file for first time.

Now come out in main DIR with the help of CTR-XK command.
